Annual Spelling Bee Takes Place at Linton

On May 11, 2024, Rotary hosted our annual Third Grade Spelling Bee at Linton Middle School. 10 students from Penn Hills Elementary and Penn Hills Charter School participated. Congratulations to our winner, Vincent Olisa, who will go on to represent Penn Hills at the Rotary regional spelling bee in Seven Springs later this summer!

The yearly spelling bee is the culmination of our annual third grade dictionary program. In the last 15 years, Penn Hills Rotary has donated 6,000 dictionaries to local classrooms. Thank you to all the teachers and parents for your dedication to this program.
