Rotary Hosts 2023 National Night Out
On Tuesday, August 2nd, Penn Hills Rotary hosted National Night Out in Penn Hills for the second year in a row. This free community event took place outdoors at Penn Hills Elementary School. The club partnered with Turner Dairy Farms, Forbes Career and Technology Center, Giant Eagle, Community Supermarket, and State Representative Joe McAndrew to provide free food, drinks, and ice cream for the hundreds of attendees. Rotary invited dozens of other local community groups, as well as our police, fire, and EMS departments. The three hour event included music, live performances from the Penn Hills varsity cheerleaders, and many other free activities. Children were able to view fire apparatus, get face paintings, and even try on FBI gear. The club plans to continue this fun community event for years to come.
Rotary would like to thank our event sponsors: Turner Dairy Farms, State Representative Joe McAndrew, Forbes Road Career & Technology Center, Giant Eagle, and Community Supermarket.
