Spaghetti Dinner Raises Money for Scholarships

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, Penn Hills Rotary hosted our second homemade spaghetti and meatball dinner of the year. Served at Mount Hope Community Presbyterian Church, a dinner consisted of a salad, roll, spaghetti, homemade meatballs and sauce, dessert, and a beverage.

A lot of hard work and preparation goes into executing a spaghetti dinner. Thankfully, we had the assistance of the Penn Hills varsity cheerleaders who helped serve food and prepare take-out orders. We also had the assistance of Gordon Gary, friend of Rotary, who helped out in our kitchen. Grazia Tomasino, another friend of Rotary, prepared 850 homemade meatballs and gallons and gallons of sauce for the event. This event would not have been successful without the support of our cheerleaders, friends of Rotary, and our hard working Rotarians.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Mount Hope for our spaghetti dinner! Proceeds will benefit the Penn Hills scholarship program. We would also like to thank the following local businesses for their support:

•Community Supermarket for the delicious sheet cakes and fresh baked rolls

•Turner Dairy Farms for the iced tea
