Valentine Bingo Raises Money for Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Department

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Penn Hills Rotary hosted its annual Valentine Bingo event at the Universal Banquet Hall. The event drew a record crowd this year with nearly 140 attendees! Bingo fans young and old enjoyed 10 games of bingo, 3 specials games, and “early bird bingo” all for a good cause. The fast-paced event, which requires a lot of coordination and has a lot of moving parts, was staffed by our hard working Rotarians and Penn Hills High School varsity cheerleader volunteers.

Proceeds from this event will be used to support the purchase of a new AED (automated external defibrillator) for the Penn Hills #4 volunteer fire department. AEDs are sophisticated yet easy-to-use medical devices used to help save those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. As the leading cause of death in the United States, more than 350,000 people will suffer sudden cardiac arrest this year, and an AED is currently the only way to restore regular heart rhythm. Penn Hills Rotary is proud to assist our friends at Penn Hills #4 with such an important purchase.
